There are 19 petitions circulating in efforts to get their issure on the Nov 2010 Ballot. Be sure you know what you are signing when someone aproaches you for a signature on a petition. There is bound to be confusion with the shear number of petitions. For example there are 4 petitions related to emminent domain alone. We will try to give a synopsis and position on some of these shortly. The Secretary of State's web site has the details of each petition and ballot language. http://www.sos.mo.gov/elections/2010petitions/10init_pet.asp

As the Healthcare Reform bill moves closer to becoming a law, we have seen attempts by the insurance industry to spread mistruths and even fund purposefully flawed studies which they then quote as "proof" to keep our current flawed system intact and generating profits for them. Watch the presidents weekly address and keep calling your members of congress. They need to hear from you. The St Louis County Democratic Central Committee this week adopted a resolution in support of a public option in the healthcare bill that is coming through congress. Currenly the House Bill contains a public Option, and the Senate Bill does not. A public option is still possible if the House version is adopted when the 2 bills are reconciled! Again...
